Sli\u010dni kampovi se na Univerzitetu Burch organizuju ve\u0107 deset godina. U posljednjih pet ili \u0161est godina, na kampove dolaze u\u010denici iz drugih srednjih \u0161kola \u0161irom BiH, ne samo iz International High School. Svi predava\u010di rade volonterski i, kako su sami istakli, u\u017eivaju u preno\u0161enju znanja mla\u0111im generacijama.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Za kamp je prijavljeno 95 matemati\u010dara i skoro 40 fizi\u010dara iz cijele BiH. To su najbolji takmi\u010dari s federalnih i dr\u017eavnih takmi\u010denja, a predavanja im dr\u017ee biv\u0161i predstavnici Bosne i Hercegovine na Matemati\u010dkim i Fizikalnim olimpijadama.<\/p>\n

Velika je \u010dast podu\u010davati djecu koja vole matematiku i fiziku.
Jedan od predava\u010da je na\u0161 najbolji fizi\u010dar Bahrudin Trbali\u0107, koji je zavr\u0161io prvu godinu studija na MIT-u u SAD-u. Kako ka\u017ee, ovo mu je \u010detvrti put da predaje na kampu ovakvog tipa.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201eRadujem se \u0161to \u0107u podu\u010davati ovako pametnu djecu koja su odlu\u010dila da \u017ertvuju svoje vrijeme i do\u0111u na kamp. Moji po\u010deci su bili upravo u ovim istim u\u010dionicama, prije pet godina, i to je za mene bilo nezaboravno iskustvo\u201c, rekao je Trbali\u0107, dodaju\u0107i da mu je zadovoljstvo dolaziti na kampove i da na ovaj na\u010din vra\u0107a dug zajednici.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Pitali smo ga kako je studirati na MIT-u, a on nam je s osmijehom rekao da je to kao kamp koji nikad ne prestaje, ali koji svakako u\u017eiva. Dru\u0161tvo, praksa, nastavni materijali i rad su, kako ka\u017ee, odli\u010dni.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Profesor Ali Lafcioglu isti\u010de da je predava\u010dima posebno zadovoljstvo prenositi znanje u\u010denicima koji su zainteresovani za matematiku i fiziku, koji razumiju ove nauke i s kojima mogu voditi kvalitetne diskusije.<\/p>\n

Ivana iz srednje \u0161kole u Banja Luci ka\u017ee da joj kamp poma\u017ee da nadoknadi ono \u0161to je mo\u017eda propustila i da nau\u010di vi\u0161e o stvarima koje voli i koje je zanimaju.<\/p>\n

U \u0161kolama je te\u0161ko za u\u010denike da prona\u0111u dru\u0161tvo koje voli fiziku, odnosno matematiku, ali ovdje svi dijele istu strast. Ali Lafcioglu isti\u010de da u\u010denici ostaju do kasno nave\u010der dru\u017ee\u0107i se i razgovaraju\u0107i o matematici, fizici i eksperimentima, te sklapaju prijateljstva. Ka\u017ee da su tu u\u010denici iz Banje Luke, Vlasenice, pa \u010dak i Prijepolja \u2014 dru\u017ee se i postaju dobri prijatelji.<\/p>\n

Zlatko Salko Lagumd\u017eija, tako\u0111er jedan od predava\u010da, radio je sa u\u010denicima na zadacima iz teorije brojeva. Kako ka\u017ee, zajedno prolaze kroz zahtjevnije zadatke za olimpijadu jer \u017eeli da prevazi\u0111u strah i shvate da to nije ne\u0161to te\u0161ko, ve\u0107 da su razmi\u0161ljanje i rje\u0161enja jednostavni.<\/p>\n

Boris Vela\u0161evi\u0107 iz International High School Sarajevo ka\u017ee da na kampu sti\u010du mnogo novih znanja iz matematike, mogu se pripremiti za novu \u0161kolsku godinu i ozbiljnija takmi\u010denja, a tako\u0111e u\u017eiva provode\u0107i vrijeme sa prijateljima.<\/p>\n

Admir Be\u0161irevi\u0107 predaje matematiku u\u010desnicima kampa koji dolaze iz osnovnih \u0161kola i ka\u017ee da imaju poseban program: ujutro imaju dva predavanja, a popodne se odr\u017eavaju testovi koji su va\u017eni jer natjeraju u\u010denike da sami razmi\u0161ljaju. Tokom pauza igraju stolni tenis, odbojku, ko\u0161arku ili se zabavljaju na neki drugi na\u010din.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201eOd 95 prijavljenih, 52 u\u010denika su pro\u0161le \u0161kolske godine bili me\u0111u deset najboljih na federalnim ili dr\u017eavnim takmi\u010denjima u svojoj generaciji \u2014 ovdje su najbolji od najboljih\u201c, rekao je Admir.<\/p>\n

Razgovarali smo i sa rektorom Univerziteta Burch, Damirom Marjanovi\u0107em, koji je istakao da je zadovoljan \u0161to Univerzitet podr\u017eava mlade koji svake godine organizuju kamp za matematiku i fiziku, pod vodstvom profesora i biv\u0161ih studenata koji su ve\u0107 postigli mnogo na takmi\u010denjima. Kako ka\u017ee, zadovoljni su \u0161to mogu podr\u017eati razvoj matematike i fizike na ovaj na\u010din.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Dodao je da postoji razlika izme\u0111u formalnog i neformalnog obrazovanja te da su matematika i fizika mnogo lak\u0161e savladive u dru\u0161tvu i kroz dru\u017eenje.<\/p>\n

\u201eSljede\u0107ih pet dana, kroz dru\u017eenje, u\u010denje i predavanja, dje\u010daci i djevoj\u010dice \u0107e imati priliku upoznati stvari o kojima ne mogu \u010duti u \u0161kolama, pripremiti se za takmi\u010denja i budu\u0107e karijere, i upravo takvo obrazovanje mi zami\u0161ljamo i za kojim te\u017eimo. Podsje\u0107a nas na finski obrazovni sistem, gdje dje\u010daci i djevoj\u010dice u\u010de matematiku i fiziku kroz dru\u017eenje i zabavu u lijepim uslovima krajem augusta\u2026 oni su mi heroji\u201c, ponosno je dodao Marjanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n

Profesor Lafcioglu je rekao da imaju pote\u0161ko\u0107a s finansiranjem kampova, ali da su do sada uvijek nekako uspjeli organizirati ovaj doga\u0111aj zahvaljuju\u0107i dobroj volji pojedinaca, predava\u010da koji ovaj posao obavljaju s posve\u0107eno\u0161\u0107u i roditelja koji vjeruju u projekat.<\/p>\n

Ovaki kampovi se organizuju barem dva puta godi\u0161nje i jedinstveni su u na\u0161oj zemlji. Neprocjenjivi su za u\u010denike koji nemaju priliku vi\u0161e u\u010diti i vje\u017ebati tokom redovnih \u010dasova, a ovo je njihova prilika da u\u010de od najboljih iz oblasti fizike i matematike.<\/p>\n

Similar camps have been organized at Burch University for ten years. For the last five or six years, students from other high schools throughout BiH, not only from the International High School, have been attending the camps. All lecturers work voluntarily and, as they themselves pointed out, enjoy passing on knowledge to younger generations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
95 mathematicians and nearly 40 physicists from all over BiH were registered for the camp. These are the best competitors from federal and state competitions, and their lectures are given by former representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Mathematics and Physics Olympiads.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
It is a pleasure to teach children who love mathematics and physics
One of the lecturers is our best physicist Bahrudin Trbali\u0107, who completed his first year of study at MIT in the USA. As he says, this is his fourth time teaching at a camp like this.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\"I am looking forward to teaching such smart children who decided to sacrifice their time to come to the camp. My beginnings were in these same classrooms, five years ago this was an unforgettable experience for me,\" said Trbali\u0107, adding that he enjoys coming to the camps and that in this way he returns his debt to the community.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
We asked him what it is like to study at MIT, and with a smile he says that it feels like a camp that never ends, but one that he certainly enjoys. The company, practice, teaching materials and work are, as he says, excellent.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Professor Ali Lafcioglu emphasizes that it is a special pleasure for lecturers to transfer knowledge to students who are interested in mathematics and physics, who understand these sciences and with whom they can have discussions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Ivana from the Banja Luka high school says that the camp helps her to make up for what she may have missed and to learn more about the things she likes and that interest her.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
In schools, it is difficult for students to find a society that likes physics, that is, mathematics, but here everyone shares a common passion and Ali Lafcioglu points out that students stay up in the evening to socialize and discuss, talk about mathematics, physics and experiments and make friends. He says that there are students from Banja Luka, Vlasenica, and even Prijepolje, they hang out and are good friends.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Zlatko Salko Lagumd\u017eija, also one of the lecturers, worked with the students on tasks from number theory. As he says, he goes over the more difficult tasks for the Olympics with them, because he wants them to break their fear and see that it is not something difficult, but that thinking and solutions are simple.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Boris Vela\u0161evi\u0107 from the International High School in Sarajevo says that at the camp they gain a lot of new knowledge in mathematics, they can prepare for the new school year and for more serious competitions, and he also enjoys spending time with his friends.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Admir Be\u0161irevi\u0107 teaches mathematics to camp participants who come from elementary schools and says that they have a specific program: in the morning they have two lectures, and in the afternoon there are tests that are important because they make the students think for themselves. During their breaks, they play table tennis, volleyball, basketball or have fun in some other way.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\"Out of the 95 applicants, 52 students were among those in the top ten places at the federal or state competition in their generation last school year, here they are the best of the best,\" said Admir.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

He added that there is a difference between formal and informal education and that mathematics and physics are much easier to master in society and through socializing.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
\"For the next five days, through socializing, learning and lectures, boys and girls will have the opportunity to meet things that they cannot hear in schools and to prepare for competitions and future careers, and this is exactly the kind of education we envision and strive for. It reminds us of the Finnish education system, that boys and girls do mathematics and physics through socializing and fun in some nice conditions at the end of August\u2026 they are heroes to me,\" Marjanovi\u0107 proudly added.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Professor Lafcioglu said that they have difficulties with financing the camps, but that so far they have always somehow managed to organize this, thanks to the good will of individuals, lecturers who do this work with dedication and parents who believe in the project.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
Such camps are organized at least twice a year and are unique in our country.
